Aggregate Recycling Centres

Our recycling centres produce high-quality recycled aggregates. As part of our commitment to reducing the use of primary aggregates and increasing the use of secondary aggregates and construction waste, we are helping build a circular and resilient future while providing the construction industry with the same reliable and durable products Heidelberg Materials is known for.

We offer recycled materials in concrete, aggregates, and asphalt: whatever your project, choose recycled materials and ensure a circular approach to construction.

What Waste Can Be Deposited at our Recycling Centres?

Aggregate Recycling FAQs

Learn more about aggregate recycling - get in touch if you need more information.

What are Recycled Aggregates?

Recycled aggregates are a construction material made from crushed and processed construction and demolition waste, such as concrete, and bricks. Compared to using primary materials extracted from quarries, it offers circular sustainability characteristics without any reduction in quality.

After deposited building materials are cleaned, crushed, and separated from unwanted materials like dust and soil, the waste is suitable for use in road construction, drainage, and landscaping applications.

What Are The Benefits of Aggregate Recycling?

Considering recycling aggregates or using them in your next project? There are plenty of benefits:

  • Improved sustainability: Recycling reduces the use of natural resources, diverts materials from landfill, and lowers overall carbon emissions for projects that incorporate the approach.
  • Excellent performance: Recycled aggregates perform just as well as virgin materials, thanks to the rigorous checks carried out during and after processing.
Are Recycled Aggregates Cost-Effective?

Whether using recycled aggregates will reduce your project costs depends on several factors, including transportation distances, materials disposal fees, and the cost of virgin materials. Contact us to learn more.

How Are Aggregates Recycled?

To ensure recycled aggregates are high quality and can be reused in construction projects, we refine, crush, wash, grade, and mix all materials. We then thoroughly test all recycled materials to ensure quality.

Does Heidelberg Materials Collect Materials for Recycling?
